Helping Out: Cheshire Demolition’s Community Skip Project
Cheshire Demolition was pleased to supply a skip to Park4All as part of its Community Skip Project, a charitable initiative designed to give something back to the local community. Each month, we will provide a free skip to a local charity, good cause, or organisation.
What is the Community Skip Project?
We understand that waste management can be a significant cost for charities and community organisations, which often operate on limited budgets. By providing free skips, we aim to support these groups in their projects and community efforts… and make Macclesfield and the surrounding area a little tidier.
We believe in supporting our local community, and this is part of our ongoing commitment to helping those around us to make a positive difference.
How Does It Work?
Local Charities, Good Causes and Organisations Apply
We ask local charities, good causes and organisations to submit a request telling us how a skip could help. Applications can be submitted through our Facebook account or via email.
Selection Process
We’ll review the submissions and select the project that we think needs it the most that month.
Skip Delivery
We will deliver the skip to their location, allowing them to efficiently manage their waste as part of their project or community initiative.
Paperwork
We will take care of all the paperwork and legal requirements.
Our normal terms and conditions will still apply
Our Latest Recipient: Park4all

This month, we were thrilled to support Park4All, a fantastic volunteer-led group working hard to revitalise Lyme Green Community Park in Macclesfield. Click here for the Park4All website.
Located on Robin Lane, the park is undergoing a transformation to become an inclusive and accessible green space for all generations. The group’s aim is simple but powerful: to create a vibrant, communal area where everyone feels welcome.
A Park for All, Built by the Community
Kevin Hoines, Chair of the Park4All committee, reached out to Cheshire Demolition for help in preparing for their latest fundraising event.
“We would like the Lyme Green park area to become a focal point of our community and make it accessible to all, by creating a communal area,” Kevin said.
“We strongly believe that upgrading the playground and communal area will make a significant contribution to our community, as well as improving the health and well-being of people of all ages from within our local community area.

With those values in mind, we were more than happy to provide a free skip donation to support the preparations and tidy-up involved in hosting a large community event.
A Fantastic Day in Lyme Green
Despite a few passing showers, the event saw a great turnout from the local community. Visitors enjoyed live music, a drumming workshop, a variety of craft stalls, hot and cold food, delicious cakes, and a licensed caravan bar.
More than just a fun day out, the event successfully raised money for the ongoing development of the park, helping to bring the group’s vision one step closer to reality.
A Place to Connect, Grow and Play
Park4All is run entirely by volunteers of all ages who dedicate their time and energy to making Lyme Green Community Park a thriving, welcoming space. Their efforts include:
- Running community events
- Maintaining the garden and growing vegetables, herbs and fruit
- Cleaning picnic tables and benches
- Restocking the community library
- Feeding wildlife in the sensory area
The park fosters social interaction, supports mental and physical well-being, and offers accessible facilities for wheelchair users and people with limited mobility. It plays a vital role in tackling social isolation, loneliness, and childhood obesity.
We’re proud to support the inspiring work of Park4All and contribute to the rejuvenation of Lyme Green Community Park.
Our Commitment to Community Giving
At Cheshire Demolition, our free skip donation scheme is part of a long-standing commitment to support the people and projects that make our region such a great place to live and work.
Every month, we select a deserving cause in the North West and provide a free skip to help them clear space, clean up, or carry out essential works. It’s a small gesture with a big impact.
Would your project benefit from a Cheshire Demolition Skip?
If you represent a local charity, good cause or organisation interested in benefiting from our Community Skip Project, we invite you to apply. Message us via Facebook or send an email to [email protected] explaining your organisation’s mission and how a free skip would aid your cause.
We invite all local charities, organisations and good causes to apply. From the local WI, the Scouts, Gardening Clubs, and Friends of Societies, everyone and anyone can submit their requests. Let’s work together to support our community and make a difference, one skip at a time.
